Reopening Commercial Flight From Can Tho (VCA) to Phu Quoc (PQC)

Prior to November 2023, Bamboo Airways was the sole airline offering direct flights from Can Tho to Phu Quoc, operating a daily flight. However, at the beginning of November 2023, Bamboo Airways discontinued several domestic and international routes, including the Can Tho - Phu Quoc route. Consequently, customers are no longer able to travel directly by commercial aircraft between Can Tho and Phu Quoc. As of November 2023, no airline has reinstated commercial flights between Can Tho and Phu Quoc, with the exception of JetVina, a private aviation service company, which offers air charter services including chartered jet flights, private jet flights. This air charter service allows customers the flexibility to fly to and from any civil airport, both within Vietnam and internationally. The airline plans to launch this route during the five-month dry season, coinciding with the peak tourist season in Phu Quoc. There will be five weekly flights operating between Can Tho and Phu Quoc on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight schedule is as follows: the Can Tho to Phu Quoc route departs at 10:40 AM, while the return flight from Phu Quoc to Can Tho leaves at 12:15 PM. The duration of the flights is just over an hour, subject to weather conditions. Vietnam Airlines is the carrier for this route, utilizing ATR 72 aircraft, which accommodate approximately 72 passengers.
